Thai Yoga Massage

Ancient Thai Massage is a unique form of body therapy that incorporates practitioner-assisted Yoga stretching exercises, trigger point therapy, deep tissue energy work and acupressure to stretch muscles and release tension in joints.

This safe and holistic treatment harmonizes the body, increases energy, relieves stress and promotes a peaceful mind. This Northern-Thai style of bodywork dates back over 2,500 years.

It places emphasis on Yoga-like stretching positions or interaction, and reflects the gentleness of the Northern-Thai people and the “slower pace” of their lifestyle. The Northern style is also called “Yoga for Lazy People” as instead of practising Yoga yourself, the therapist does it for you.

Thai Massage performed on the floor on a comfortable futon. The recipient is fully clothed, wearing loose clothing, and no oil is required for this treatment.

The benefits of this treatment:
• Deep relaxation
• Releases points of tension in the body which can block the natural flow of energy, inducing homeostasis, balance and harmony.
• Releases stress and increases energy
• Increases flexibility and range of motion
• Assists alignment and postural integrity of the body
• Improves circulation
• Strengthens the internal organs
• Relieves pain
• Improves neurological functioning and assists in relieving degenerative conditions associated with the aging process

This makes Thai Yoga Massage an ideal antidote for people who work under pressure, and for stress management.
